Havin Too Much

by Grant McLaughlin

Dancing in each others arms,
drinking each others energy,
getting drunk on every moment.

I distill you in a bottle,
keep you close so I can sip
on love when my lips run dry.

Laying in bed half naked,
watching the rain pour down
every forgotten tear.

Getting high on every word
coming out of your mouth.

City lights never as bright
as the sparkle in your eyes.
